Q5. What is the basic difference between NID and CEED?
Answer: The exams are national level exams for national institutes; NID is National Institute of Design and the Exam is NID DAT, while CEED is Common Entrance Exam for Design which is a joint entrance exam for admissions into IITs and IISc. NID DAT is for both UG and PG whereas CEED is for PG only. No major significant difference other than automotive design.

NID Studio Test is the second stage of entrance exam. This on-campus test involves material handling, audio-visual test, doodling Test, group discussion, etc. The NID Studio Test carries 50% weightage of the overall exam. In other words, this test assesses a candidate, observation ability, creativity and innovative skills.
